Kojonup producer Steve Marsh warned the authorities last week after he found genetically modified in its enclosure organically certified canola pods.
The Ministry of agriculture visited Mr. Marsh property and taken tests for sampling.
Mr. Marsh said that if the GM canola indeed contaminated farm could have potentially disastrous consequences.
"In the worst cases not only our business, but on the choice of our customers,"he said.""
"We have built a number of markets over the years and our customers clearly want a GMO-free and organic certified for various reasons, either by choice or they may have reasons of health."
The Government has lifted the ban on growing GM canola in January.
