What motivates nuts you? (ABC.net.au)

Posted 8 December 2010 08: 08: 00 Tasmanian motorists have been invited to participate in a new study rage at the wheel.

Experts in psychology at the University of Tasmania have developed a survey online driver attitudes and driving behaviour.

Dr. Allison Matthews said incidents with rage at the wheel are increasing in many countries, but there is little research on why it occurs.

"We hope that understanding the role that specific beliefs and gaming experience in road safety will be feeding in the development of policies in terms of better road safety awareness campaigns," she says.

"The (survey) questions ask on driving experience, driving practices, accident road, conduct of anger and views on particular driving practices affect road safety."

It is hoped that the study will enhance safety on the roads of Tasmania.
